To Break Bread is to engage in a comfortable, friendly interaction. Originally, the term was literal, meaning that a loaf of bread would be broken to share and eat, a casual meal among associates. Today, the term is used to describe a social interaction where something is shared. This could be food, money, commodities, assets, or other various items.

In conversation with numerous patients post Covid, the two most common symptoms remaining are shortness of breath and fatigue.
Post any infection, you have to get your mitochondria firing again. The mitochondria are the parts of the cells that produce the energy that you use to perform all your daily functions and still allow you to feel energised to dance the night away.
To fire your mitochondria:
1) gentle detox
2) electrolyte replenish
3) vit and mineral spread from great nutrition
4) heart rate waving - exercise to 60-70% of your heart rate and then stop, recovering your heart rate to less than 90 BPM through conscious breathing. Then raise your Heart rate and slow down again. Repeat this and count how many cycles you get through before you take too long to recover your heart rate. Everyday try beat your previous cycle count.
5) lymphatic clearing
6) rested breathing cycles
The stronger you recover the great your immune system resilience
Two things are not good for chronic spinal or other joint issues -
1) cold weather; causes the muscles to contract constantly and leads to pain / inflammation in already overloaded muscles
2) increased atmospheric pressure; causes compaction of already narrowed joint spaces; further restricting movement and upsetting the joint inflammation.
Over the next few days - stay warm and keep moving as best as possible
I have secured a great price on a portable oxygen saturation machine that clips onto your finger.
Please DM if you require one.
How long does it take to break a habit?
Habits are complex neurological pathways that cannot be broken. So if you have “bad habits” leading to your pain take note:
1) you can rewire pathways that are stronger so your brain can chooses the new pathway
2) you have to repeat the correct movement or action to start forming the new pathway
3) the more often you repeat the better. It does not matter how long in one sitting you repeat it for.
4) you have to repeat it with intensity and intention otherwise your brain will not get the new pathway
5) you will have to repeat it 1 month for every year of habit (roughly) in order to create a second pathway your brain will choose from
6) you have to create value for the new pathway so there brain chooses the new pathway first and automatically.
7) old pathways never die out so as soon as you go back the old pathways has value again.
What habits do you want to break?
Loads of people asked me how I measure HRV; I use a polar H7; you can also use a Polar H10 heart rate band with Elite HRV app. I do know that other Heart Rate devices do measure HRV, one has to simply question accuracy.
I take my measurement every morning at the same time and same way to rule out any interferences and this helps me to decide how to run my day.
P.S. I can arrange group discount on the polar products if I get enough interest.
Have a great week and do something extra!
I looked for research that backed this - https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/33206183/
90.3% predictor, according to this research, of the abnormal inflammatory response that is affecting people’s oxygen saturation and breathing.
I often have conversations with patients discussing why supposed "healthy" people with no known comorbidities get more sick with various infections than others. More recently this conversation has been about covid.
My thought processes, based on my clinical experience, would question the resilience of the person's autonomic tone. In simple terms - the amount of physiological stress which makes the body sluggish and less effective in its responses to environment challenges.
One way to know your autonomic tone and body responsiveness is by using HRV (Heart rate variability).
The above chart shows how HRV shows your variability and responsiveness.
There are basic body movements that you should be able to easily do:
1) push-up
2) squat
3) plank
4) bridge
5) pull-up
6) lunge
How many can you do effortlessly?
I have found this a simple test to determine how effectively your gluteal muscles are supporting your spine - stand with your heels together and your toes apart (if you cannot get your heels together you already have issues).
Now squeese your heels together and you should feel your inner thigh muscles and your lower gluteal / pelvic muscles engaging. While this is occurring your lower abdominal muscles may tighten which is a good thing however you should not feel your back muscles tighten and it certainly should not hurt your back in anyway.
What is it that you feel?
Practice has been sanitised; hope you have kept safe this weekend

I do not normally forward these but I thought this was super profound especially in these times
Neurochemically, Hope is one of the most powerful emotion. Not as a simple word but rather as the visual and focus on something for your future.
In lab experiments, rats that are given something to look forward to survive longer than similar rats experiencing the same stress but have nothing to look forward to.
I feel that in this current global situation with stress and pressure as HIGH as it is…perhaps you could do with a subtle shift in the constant stress response your body and physiology is going through.
So what are you hopeful?
Spend sometime visualizing what you hopeful for!
I look forward to hearing from you. What is it and how does it look?

Your body’s immune system is designed to respond to any and all foreign objects. That means anything that is not good for your body.
The more you bathe the body in the wrong things the more sensitized the body gets this means the more aggressive the body gets in its response and the more drastic the symptoms get.
Now every person, because of their genetic predispositions, has substances that they have intolerances to. Now your intolerances are scaled, which means some are heavy intolerances and others are medium and some are light intolerances. So, if you sensitize your body, you upgrade your intolerances all to the next level which means more and more substances you are intolerant to and are then sensitizing your body further and further. This is how allergies are formed!
Can you reverse this process? Yes, by desensitizing your body. This is a tricky but possible process however you will need to be diligent.
If this resonates with you let me know so I can guide you specifically.
